What we Provide
Spend a summer weekend under the trees at the historic Daly Mansion and you’ll hear pipes, drums, and laughter long before you reach the gate. The Bitterroot Celtic Games & Gathering is a two-day Celtic festival in Hamilton, Montana, celebrating Highland games, music, dance, clans, food, and friendship.
The gathering highlights the "jocularity and bond of the clans" and the fulfillment of seeing people experience the "traditions of their ancestors" firsthand.
Whether you have deep Celtic roots or you’re just here for the fun, you are welcome here!

Quality Experinces

A culturally authentic event

On the Daly Mansion lawn you’ll find athletes throwing stones, hammers, and cabers in one of the largest Highland athletic competitions in Montana. Nearby, Highland and Irish dancers keep time with the bands performing on 2 stages, and the sound of pipes and drums carries across the grounds.

A Celtic festival for the whole family

The festival is designed to be relaxed and welcoming. Kids can try age-appropriate games, watch sports demonstrations, try out hurling, and cheer on the athletes. Adults & kids can sign up for fun Sunday contests, enjoy live music, and sample food and drink from vendors around the grounds.
Pack a chair or blanket, bring the family, and plan to stay awhile.

Hosted by the Bitterroot Celtic Society

The Games are presented by the Bitterroot Celtic Society, a local non-profit dedicated to preserving and sharing Celtic culture in Montana. In addition to the summer Games & Gathering, the Society hosts events such as Burns Night, St. Andrew’s celebrations, and St. Patrick’s gatherings throughout the year.
